U.S. pharmaceutical companies are helping the national economy
thrive, as these businesses are regularly hiring qualified
professionals to fill important roles on their teams. Business
Insider reports that many of these firms strive to attract top talent, which helps them
boost their profits and further expand their work crews.
“Forget what we all think and know about high unemployment. The
unemployment rate among really good people in [the pharmaceutical
sector] is much lower than the national average,” Victor Kleinman,
a pharmaceutical industry expert, told the news source.
Forest Pharmaceuticals, a company that develops a wide range of
medical treatments, intends to expand its U.S. operations over
the next few years. According to FOX19, the firm will bring new
jobs to Blue Ash, Ohio, as it broke ground on a new facility in the city
last month.
Company officials noted that they are investing $45 million in
the Blue Ash site. The new facility could open as early as July
2014.
If more pharmaceutical companies bolster their workplaces, these
firms may hire more workers. The businesses may also pursue skilled
professionals to fill a number of roles and could help the national
economy lower its unemployment rate.
