A major car rental company is doing its part to increase employment opportunities to members of the military, after it introduced a new website to allow better access.

Hertz announced the creation of  a new part of its site, http://Hertz.Jobs.Military, which seeks to streamline the hiring process for veterans. The firm states that positions at available at a number of branches including Hertz On Demand, Rent A Car, Equipment Rental and Entertainment Services.

The head of the company said that it was looking to bring on board those who understood the importance of working together and leadership

"At Hertz, we believe the only long-term, sustainable competitive advantage is a company's culture which is shaped by its people. We are building a culture based on many of the values promoted by the military – leadership, teamwork, planning, execution, hard work, and the drive to succeed," commented Mark P. Frissora, Hertz chairman and CEO.

The travel industry as a whole is seeing an increase in hiring, as tourists cross the country in significant numbers. In an interview with Fox News, J.W. Mariott, head of Mariott International, stated that the company is planning to hire 15,000 new workers. There is hope that consumers will continue to increase spending and fund wider expansion of the travel industry.
