Several local airports across the United States are expanding, and these facilities could offer new opportunities for job seekers. For example, The Detroit News reports that Evart Municipal Airport in Evart, Michigan, generates around $518 million in economic activity every year. The facility has created many local jobs and continues to significantly support the local economy.
Additionally, Michigan has 235 airports throughout the state that play important roles in the prosperity of numerous communities. The news outlet states that more than $10 billion of the state's economy comes from aviation-related activities, and this figure could grow based on the industry's success over the next few years.
More aviation industry positions will become available in 2013, thanks in part to the Italico Aviation company. According to AVweb, the business intends to increase the workforce at its Kissimmee, Florida, facility and potentially increase its sales and profits.
"We want to sell to anybody who has not thought to buy a plane before," company CEO Eros Spinozzi told the news source.
Italico Aviation officials said they are investing $3 million in the Florida facility and new jobs will have salaries around $60,000 annually.
