Restaurant hiring on the East Coast is heating up, as jobs in the industry are cropping up in the Baltimore area, as well as Georgia.
Cunningham's, a restaurant located in Baltimore's Towson City Center, is planning to hire about 65 employees before its opening in October, according to BMore Media. The staff is expected to be comprised of an executive chef, bartenders, line cooks, sous chefs and servers, among others.
Employees will also be hired for the restaurant's cafe, located below its main level, which will feature breakfast and lunch options for patrons. The location is expected to focus on local, sustainable and seasonal cuisine, relying on a local farm for its food potentially further spurring job growth.
Further down the coast in Georgia, fast food restaurant Bojangles is expected to hire about 200 workers for two new locations in Norcross and Commerce, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Positions are varied and include customer service, cashiers, drive-through workers, biscuit makers, cooks and managers.
The restaurant chain has recently sped its growth throughout the South, adding restaurants from Alabama to North Carolina. It's ranked first for growth in the chicken segment of the fast food market, according to QSRWeb.
