One of the fastest-growing industries in America is the restaurant sector, where hiring has grown the most out of all jobs in in the first half of 2013.

Restaurants and bars hired the most employees of all businesses in June, according to the Mississippi D Journal, as consumers around the country are dining out more than in recent years. A quarter of all new jobs created across the country in the past three months have come from the restaurant industry, with 10 percent of all American jobs now held at a dining or beverage establishment.

More than 51,000 jobs were added by the restaurant and bar sector in June, which also represented the largest growth in the hospitality sector. Some concern has been expressed about many of the created jobs being part-time instead of full-time, but the job growth remains a positive aspect helping to improve the economy.

Hiring has increased by 600 jobs in the state of Mississippi alone from restaurants, which have added 4,300 total jobs since May 2012. Additionally, hiring is increasing in Albany, New York, where a new Texas Roadhouse plans to hire a total staff of 170 according to the Albany Times Union.
