Search Options
LEVEL I - Retained Search
The retained search is the highest level of commitment and recruitment service provided by Executive Solutions. This approach represents the ultimate partnering between the Client and our Practice Leader. We will conduct a highly coordinated and successful search whereby we dedicate 100% of our Practice Leader's and project team's time. This option assures the maximum effort in securing qualified candidates. In addition, candidates presented will not be shown to any other clients during this search process. There is a 90-day full replacement guarantee.
The fee for this service is based on a percentage of the candidate's first year compensation (12 month annualized) including realistic bonus potential. During an executive search process, the client pays one-third of the fee at the inception of the search. Upon the submission of the short list of qualified candidates (usually 3 or 4), the client pays an additional one-third. The final one-third is then due after the short list of qualified candidates is interviewed. Since there is no guarantee a candidate will be hired, the entire fee could be at risk to the client. This search represents the ultimate level of the executive search process.
LEVEL II - Priority Search This search is sometimes referred to as "the best of both worlds". Both the Client and the Practice Leader still give a high degree of commitment. Any qualified candidate presented will be exclusive to the client for a period of 30 days. This requires an engagement fee of 20 % or a minimum of $ 5,000 to be paid by the client at the beginning of the recruitment efforts. The balance of the service fee is payable within 10 days of the candidate's start date. There is a 60-day full replacement guarantee.
LEVEL III - Exclusive Contingency Search
This search imposes a moderate level of commitment by both the Client and the Practice Leader. The client agrees that the search will be exclusive for a period of 60 days with no other Search Firm engaged. This option requires no financial investment to initiate the recruitment process. It can be an effective business arrangement when there is a moderate level of urgency or importance attached to the position. Each candidate may be presented to multiple clients in the same time frame. The total fee is payable within 10 days of the candidate's start date. There is a 30-day full replacement guarantee.
